  Special Insight into Emptiness
by Geshe Lobsang Wangdu
English interpretation by Venerable Steve Carlier
July 8 - August 27
(Two month intensive - 27 classes -
Schedule below - "read more")

The class will be based on Lama Tsongkhapa's "Medium Exposition of the Stages of the Path to Enlightenment".   Je Tsongkhapa wrote the Middle Length Lam Rim towards the end of his life, in response to requests from meditator-disciples and as such has a very practice approach to the lam-rim. (Lam Rim is a comprehensive commentary on how to practice the Buddhist path)

The section on Special Insight from Lama Tsong Khapa's Medium Exposition of the Stages of the Path to Enlightenment presents a brilliant explanation of the relationship between dependent-arising and emptiness, shows how to meditate on emptiness effectively and what it means to view phenomena like illusions.

GW_EGThis class will provide comprehensive instructions on the Buddhist Meditations on Calm Abiding and Special Insight, the basis for all of the other exoteric and esoteric Buddhist meditation techniques.
In this course you will learn very specifically how to meditate correctly according to ancient tradition and techniques. Calm Abiding is how to stabilize your mind single pointedly, focused and undistracted on your object of meditation. Special Insight is the analytical meditation that allows you to gain penetrating wisdom on the true nature of reality.

Do not miss this rare opportunity to get authentic meditation instructions!
