At Land of Medicine Buddha, you will be working as part of a team to provide service to all the various people who visit the Center including: our spiritual program students, facility rental groups, people who stay in our guest accommodations, daily visitors to the Center, and of course, our visiting teachers and our own staff.

For those people searching for a job which has more "meaning" in life, this is a perfect opportunity! Especially for someone who already is a Buddhist or who has interest in Buddhism, this is an ideal place to live and work. Attendance at teachings is free of charge (although can depend on your work schedule, but we try to be as flexible as possible).

Work Study Opportunities

We are NOT currently accepting applications for our work study program at Land of Medicine Buddha. Our center is located in the serene and peaceful coast foothills of central California. The work study program provides an opportunity for individuals to get a taste of living at a Dharma center while offering service. We are open year round, and participants offer 25 hours a week of service, usually in our kitchen or housekeeping departments, in exchange for a modest private room, meals, and Dharma teachings. We offer teachings year round, and our center is blessed by many holy beings and objects. Join our happy team!
